Who we are
This site is run by IndiPort Overseas Traders LLP, registered office Swayamprabha Colony, Kathora Road, Amravati 444604, Maharashtra, India. For anything on this page, write to info@indiportoverseas.com.
What we collect
Three things.
The details you enter in our enquiry form: your name, your company, your country, your email address, a telephone or WhatsApp number if you choose to give one, your message, and how you heard about us if you choose to tell us.
Anything you send us afterwards by email, telephone or messaging, as part of the same conversation.
Basic information about visits to this site, such as the pages viewed and the country a visit came from. The company that hosts this website counts this for us, without cookies, in a form that does not identify you and does not follow you to other websites.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, to prepare a quotation, and to carry on the conversation that follows. If you become a buyer, to run your order and keep the records a trade transaction requires.
We do not sell your details. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies to track you, and there is no advertising on it.
Tracked links in our emails
When we contact a buyer directly, the link we send is sometimes unique to that email, so that we can see whether the message was opened and the site visited. That tells us the outreach reached you. If you would rather we did not do this, tell us and we will stop.
Who else sees it
Only the suppliers we need to run the business: our email, cloud and website hosting providers. They process the information on our behalf and for no other purpose.
Where a shipment requires it, buyer details appear on trade and customs documents, which are seen by banks, shipping lines, inspection agencies and customs authorities. That is part of how international trade works and it cannot be avoided.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for 24 months after our last contact with you. Records connected to a completed trade transaction are kept for as long as Indian tax and export law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to info@indiportoverseas.com and we will reply within 30 days.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you these rights. If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act gives you equivalent rights.
If you are not satisfied
Tell us first, at info@indiportoverseas.com, and we will try to put it right. If you are still not satisfied you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner's Office. In India that is the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
