Fresh ginger rhizomes piled on a metal tray, the skin pale and knobbly

About this product

Our ginger comes from Satara and Nashik in Maharashtra, where the crop is planted before the monsoon and lifted from December onwards.

Rhizomes are washed, trimmed and graded at the packhouse, then packed into mesh bags that let moisture escape during the voyage.

This is fresh ginger, supplied for cooking, processing and retail. It travels between 12 and 14 °C, and holding that temperature is what keeps it sound on arrival, so the container setting is agreed with you before loading.
