About this product
Our green cardamom comes from the hill districts of Kerala and Karnataka and from Maharashtra. Picking runs from August to February, with the main flush between October and December.
Capsules are dried soon after picking so they hold their green colour, then graded by capsule size and by mass per litre. Grades AGEB, AGB and AGS are available and the grade is agreed before the order is confirmed.
Larger, heavier capsules carry more seed and are the usual choice for retail packing and whole spice use. Where cardamom is to be ground, a smaller grade often serves just as well. Tell us the end use and we will suggest the grade.
