About this product
Our turmeric comes from the growing districts of Maharashtra, where the crop is lifted between January and April. Cured turmeric stores well, so supply runs through the year.
After lifting, the rhizomes are boiled and sun dried until the moisture is low enough for storage, then polished and graded. Polished or unpolished material can be supplied, agreed before the order is confirmed.
Turmeric is supplied as whole fingers, as bulbs, or ground. Fingers are the grade most export buyers ask for. At the curcumin level we supply against, the material suits culinary use, spice blending and food manufacturing, and where you need a higher level, tell us the figure and we will source to it.
